Carol Stream Woman's Club - 2015 Philanthropies

The Carol Stream Woman's Club is a philanthropic and social club that supports local organizations with time and monetary donations.  This club year we will support the following charities:

Ronald McDonald House Charities

It’s something we see every day – children healing because they’re surrounded by their families. And while RMHC may not be able to make the medicine taste better or erase the pain of a much-needed treatment, we can help lessen the burden for nearly nine million families each and every year. Since 1974, our network of local Chapters have been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together – giving them a place to rest and refresh. A place that feels like home. These programs, tailored to meet the urgent needs of each community, can now be found in more than 62 countries and regions across the globe.

Humanitarian Service Project - Adopt-A-Senior

The goal of the Senior Citizen Project is to help eliminate the persistence of pain, despair, fear, worry, suffering, and humiliation that the cycle of poverty brings to DuPage and Kane's seniors. We help by ensuring that the basic needs of these seniors are met. This includes the major food groups - grains, fruits, vegetables and meat. We also deliver paper products, cleaning products, personal hygiene products and wonderful gifts that are donated by volunteers. These might include small household items, baked goods, slippers, afghans, light bulbs, candy, etc. Our "adopted" seniors also receive help from us whenever possible with special requests.

Carol Stream Christmas Sharing Program

What is Christmas Sharing? It is a Village sponsored event that allows Carol Stream residents to share with other Carol Stream residents who may need assistance during the holiday season. There are many ways you and/or your business can assist the program.
